The data are vector data (points) of earthquakes with magnitude above 2.5 in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and surrounding areas from 1990 to 2021. It is a subset of global earthquake data in this period, with geographic coordinates between 88 ° - 112 ° E and 20 ° - 40 ° N. In addition to the entire upper reaches of the Yangtze River, it includes Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Guangxi, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Qinghai, eastern Tibet, southern Gansu, and some areas outside the Southwest China. The data format is Shapefile. The original data for generating this data is from the seismic statistical data of the United States Geological Survey (USGS). Points are generated according to their longitude and latitude, and the seismic attribute data in the record is retained.
The file name is earthquake_ UYR19902021.rar. Earthquake in the file name represents earthquake, UYR represents the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, and 19902021 represents the time range of data from 1990 to 2021.
The file is extracted by WINRAR and can be directly opened by ArcGIS or other GIS software after decompression.
