PML_V2 global evapotranspiration and gross primary production (2002-2019)


This dataset contains global monthly 0.5 degree spatial resolution actual evapotranspiration and components (transpiration, soil evaporation, interception) from 1981 to 2012 inclusive. The estimates were computed through the observation-driven Penman-Monteith-Leuning (PML) model. For details refer to Zhang et al. (2016) http://dx.doi.org/10.1038%2Fsrep19124. The data is in netCDF4 format.


File naming and required software

The data is stored in tiff format, and the file name is "yyyy mm dd. tif, such as 2002-07-04.tif, which corresponds to the average of GPP and ET elements in the eight days from 2002-07-04 to 2002-07-11. Each tiff file contains five variables, and the 1-5 layers correspond to the variables GPP, Ec, Ei, Es, ET_water in turn.
Note: GPP and ET real values=pixel values * scale_factor (scale_factor=0.01).
